Basic Obedience Observation Program (BOOP)

Want to teach your dog the basics but the dog is:

 Attend classes without your dog!
Sounds crazy doesn't it? Actually, being in the room, and able to observe the other dogs in class, you can see how things are done, ask questions and also be able to see some troubleshooting when things don't go perfectly. You get more out of it than in a zoom class. We cover more than basic obedience exercises, the class will also learn a lot about dog behavior and you will get a homework sheet at the beginning of class so you can follow along and take notes. For each student in this program, the trainer will spend a little time before or after each class, making sure things are going well at home.

Price for this program is discounted at $180 for the 5 weeks of training.

PUPPY CLASSES

For the best possible education for your puppy, we recommend that you enroll in the 6 week Puppy FUNdamentals class then follow with our most popular Firm Foundations class.
Puppy FUNdamentals is for pups 1-18 weeks of age (up to 16 weeks for large breed puppies) The Firm Foundations classes are for all ages. Your pup can go from one class right into the next without skipping a beat. No need to work on what was learned in the puppy class to qualify for the Firm Foundations.

NOTE: We usually plan to take a break during Spring Break for the schools that are closest to our studio. This year it will be the week of March 24th. If we find that everyone will be present during that week, we will go ahead and have class. Please let us know upon sign up in the comments section if you will be out of town or in town.

This class is a mix of tricks, agility & games.
It is meant to be fun and energetic for your
dog. Graduation day is having fun with a
mini agility course. This is a great class to
build confidence and strengthen your bond.
It is preferred your dog has taken one of our
classes, to know our training style. If you
haven't taken a class with us, please contact
us before registering. This class is not for
aggressive or reactive dogs. We want to keep

THURSDAY

Puppy FUNdamentals

Class Starts: May 8, 2025 - 6 weeks
Time: 5:30pm     Fee: $255
Instructor: Tessa Kelly

This class is for puppies under 18 weeks old,
under 12 weeks for large breed puppies. We will
go over basic training exercises, mouthing & nipping,
teaching them how to relax and settle, many ways to
get their attention and redirect behavior. We allow
time during class for some supervised play.*
*It is not guaranteed that your pup will be able to
play. If they are too pushy or shy, they may have to
be in a time out, where we will work on alternative
things to help them settle down.
We recommend that you follow up the with our
most popular Firm Foundations class for a full
training experience.


Advanced Behaviors

Class Starts: May 8, 2025 - 6 weeks
Time: 7:00pm  Fee: $275
Instructor: Tessa Kelly

Class Requirements: Your dog should have
gone through my Firm Foundations class or
have some basic obedience experience and
be able to have some skills especially
holding Stays. Your dog cannot be aggressive
toward other dogs as there will be times the
leash is dropped. This class is not designed
for socializing, so it is preferred that there is
distance between the dogs. They are going
to learn how to be around other dogs without
having to go meet them.

Occasionally we like to do some of the sessions
outdoors when weather permits. The trainer will
let you know in advance so that you can dress
accordingly. Also, a caution that we may be
working on uneven ground and may walk some
distances. If you are unable to walk on uneven
ground, or for a long distance please let the
trainer know. The distance will be around a
quarter of a mile.
